{Personal} Fall is on its way

Today marks the unofficial end to summer, and I (Sarah) am glad to see that happen. I’m ready to switch gears to football, and cooler weather. It will help make for more pleasant outdoor photo shoots, that’s for sure. We’ve been treated to a little preview here the last few days with cooler temps in the morning.

We’re having a low key day today, watching lots of US OPEN tennis, working a little on photography stuff, and me, I’m catching up on my newspaper reading from this weekend.

Happy Labor Day!

{Personal} Pictures are a safe for our memories

The emotions that we experience when we look at  a photograph of a moment in our lives is what interested me in photography in the first place. Growing up, I had so many special moments, few of which were captured on camera. Now they can only be relayed by words, and not visually through a picture.  But nothing speaks louder and clearer than a photograph. Even with time there may be specific parts of that memory that we forget, but that can maybe be retrieved as we visit our photos from memories past.

We had the opportunity to shoot pictures of our niece Leah going to her first ever Easter Egg Hunt and we had a blast just watching her enjoy and observe all the goings on that day. She is growing very fast!!

She loves chocolate and when she found what was inside of the eggs, she became so excited.

I love this one because is in the moment when my niece finds out that there is something inside of the egg.

Here she imitates her mother as she is handed her first piece of  ‘colate’ (as in chocolate).

Receiving her first Easter chocolate from mommy!!!

I’m glad we were there to be able to capture these moments for her.
