My friend Sabrina came to visit us this past June. The last time we saw each other, we were teenagers in high school.  She actually stayed with my family as an exchange student during that time. We had lost contact with each other after that, but found each other again a couple of years ago through Facebook. We hadn’t seen each other in 1o years, and what else do you do on those kinds of occasions but have an impromptu photo session in the backyard? The sun was rapidly setting, and the mosquitoes were starting to get bad, but a few pictures we were able to get.

How nice is a cool breeze on a hot, humid July day here in Louisiana! It gives us a break from the hot reality that we face almost everyday. This day was a hot and very humid day, but a late afternoon thunderstorm threatened to rain down on us, and the breezy weather provided a small amount of relief when we got together with our family to take a couple updated pictures of their family.

The girls are getting so big, with Zoe just beginning to walk. As always, Leah is a helpful big sister:
